After growing up in nearby Trumbull, Connecticut, Craig graduated from Yale University in 2002, and in 2005 became the first Bulldog to reach the Major Leagues since Ron Darling...a molecular biophysics and biochemistry major, Breslow earned All-Ivy honors in a junior season that included a 16-strikeout performance vs. Cornell and a one-hit shutout at Harvard...was named captain of the 2002 squad. Attended a BoSox Club Luncheon during the 2006 season and in the offseason participated in the Red Sox Holiday Goodwill Tour, making stops in Vermont, New Hampshire and Connecticut.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: In 2005 Made his major league debut with 3 separate stints with the Padres, posting no record and a 2.20 ERA (4 ER/16.1 IP) in 14 games out of the bullpen...with San Diego, limited left-handed hitters to a .063 (1-for-16) average...averaged 8.1 K's per 9 innings between Double-A Mobile, Triple-A Portland and San Diego, recording 70 strikeouts in 77.2 innings...began the season with Mobile, going 2-1 with a 2.90 ERA (16 ER/49.2 IP) in 39 relief appearances to earn a July 23 promotion to San Diego...made his big league debut that night in Philadelphia, striking out 3 in 1.2 innings of scoreless relief...was optioned back to Mobile the following day before being recalled by the Padres 5 days later...was optioned to Triple-A Portland on August 11, and he made 7 appearances before his 3rd recall to San Diego September.

WITH BOSTON: Had 3 separate stints with Boston in 2006, going a combined 0-2 with 3 holds and a 3.75 ERA (5 ER/12.0 IP) in 13 relief appearances...had 12 strikeouts in his 12.0 innings...9 of his 13 outings came at Fenway Park, where he posted a 3.00 ERA (3 ER/9.0 IP) with all 12 of his strikeouts...originally had his contract purchased from Pawtucket on July 13 and made his Red Sox debut the following night vs. Oakland, allowing just one hit with 2 strikeouts in 1.2 innings...was optioned back to Pawtucket the next day before being recalled on August 14...pitched that night vs. Detroit, fanning 3 in 1.2 scoreless innings, but was again optioned to Pawtucket on August 18...earned a September 1 call-up to Boston, where he stayed for the remainder of the season...appeared in 11 games with the Sox to close the year, going 0-2 with a 5.19 ERA (5 ER/8.2 IP)... allowed one run in 1.0 inning to suffer his first career big league loss on September 9 vs. Kansas City...however, recorded all 3 of his outs via the strikeout in that game...also took the loss in night game of September 16 split doubleheader at Yankee Stadium, giving up 2 runs in 0.1 innings.

WITH PAWTUCKET: Went 7-1 with 7 saves and a 2.69 ERA (20 ER/67.0 IP) in 39 relief appearances with Pawtucket and was selected as the team's Most Valuable Pitcher in a vote of his teammates...was also Pawtucket's lone representative on the International League team for the 2006 Triple- A All-Star Game (did not pitch)...led the PawSox in appearances and ranked 2nd in saves while holding opposing batters to a .200 average...had 77 strikeouts in 67.0 innings, an average of 10.3 K's per 9 innings...did not allow an earned run in his final 11 appearances covering 17.1 innings, going 2-0 with 2 saves in that span. In 2007 was again selected to represent the Paw Sox at the Triple A all star game. Craig pitched 2/3 scoreless inning including the pick off of a baserunner.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: Did not allow a run in his first 4 big league games (4.1 innings) before being charged with 2 runs in 1.0 inning on September 3 vs. Toronto...overall, pitched scoreless ball in 10 of his 13 big league outings...with Pawtucket, held lefties to a .179 (10-for-56) average and righties to a .206 (39-for-189) mark...allowed just 3 homers in 67.0 Triple-A innings and did not give up a long ball in his 13 big league appearances.
