A’s gather to help Breslow’s foundation
OAKLAND — Craig Breslow and his Strike 3 Foundation hit one out of the park Tuesday when they presented a $25,000 grant to Children’s Hospital & Research Center Oakland.
Breslow, two-time A’s All-Star closer Andrew Bailey — the foundation’s developmental director — and with several other teammates and their significant others presented the check in the Atrium of Children’s Hospital’s Outpatient Center. The grant will fund two new programs within the hospital’s psychology oncology program — a teen cancer support program and a siblings program, both of which will help with the counseling and therapy sides of cancer treatment.
